Project Description
Paramount High School is something special. We have put murals on walls before but never to this extent. At Paramount we have murals covering all four walls. The longest walls are 68 feet by 13 feet. The theme is the inspired by the school nickname, The Pirates. The graphics created give the impression that one is actually inside a Pirate ship looking out. Even the floor was re-laid with wood that looks as if it came right off a ship.
The east wall shows the bow of the ship in which a male and female pirate are guarding their treasure.
The north wall contains a pirate swinging in the rigging with Skull Island lurking menacingly in the background. I wonder what secrets the Island holds.
What Pirate scene would be complete without a couple of fighting ships blasting cannons at each other? This is what we have depicted on the north wall.
The west wall has another pirate and this time he’s holding a treasure map and there is some more treasure near-by
